Framing
A unit you can compare
The trouble with a monthly price is not that it is small. It is that it is incomparable to anything else you budget for.
Rent is monthly, and you know it. Insurance is annual, and you know that too. Subscriptions sit in a gap: billed monthly, committed to indefinitely, compared to nothing. There is no moment in the year when they come up for review.
Converting them to a yearly figure borrows the one unit in which you already make deliberate choices. Whether the answer is to keep everything or drop half of it, at least the question has been asked in a comparable form.

Worth reading that figure carefully: it counts people who had stopped using the service and still kept paying. Not a judgement about value — a failure of visibility.
